⚙️ Game Settings
Valid dictionary words traced on the board earn half points. They do not affect the academic grade. The exported student file carries only the bonus words for its prepared grids.
The dictionary is ready; matching words are selected when a grid is created.
🎚️ Grid, Rounds & Difficulty
This is also the number of grids the student will play in the session.
With Random on, select one, two, or all three straight directions below. Each session chooses a nonempty combination from those selections. Traditional uses winding paths exclusively.
Traditional allows winding paths. Straight paths use the selected directions; a short final round stays separate and uses as many selected directions as its word count allows.
Straight words read left to right, top to bottom, or diagonally down-right. No backward placements. Traditional Boggle paths are unchanged.
🧩 Clue Display
Each round rolls vocabulary cards without definitions, words across the top, or vocabulary cards with definitions. Picture clues are excluded.
Add definitions to the Word List as WORD | definition, one entry per line. Words without definitions still work.
Upload a picture for each word. Missing pictures display the word so students can still play. Images are embedded in the exported file.
🎨 Header Branding
Customize the header color, logo, title, and optional subtitle. Leave the title blank to use the activity name; leave the subtitle blank to show no subtitle.
Recommended: square image, at least 150×150px. Transparent background (PNG) works best.
📊 Grading & Reports
Optional — get each student's score automatically when they finish. Leave blank to skip this entirely.
Zero setup — opens the student's email app with the results pre-written. They still have to tap Send.
For true automatic logging with no student action needed — every score lands in your own Google Sheet the moment they finish.
Google Sheets grade tracker
Update the WGLT Grade Logger script in your spreadsheet, deploy a new version, then paste its /exec URL above. Your existing URL can stay the same.
Score grade: words found ÷ (required words + wrong word attempts + hints). Every wrong attempt and hint lowers the grade; bonus points remain separate.
The preset checks its included fields below. Change any checkbox to switch to Custom. The spreadsheet keeps every column; unchecked fields stay blank.
